Summary
"So should we start blocking off time in our calendar for dance lessons with Coach Diaz?"
Eddie knows Karen means it as a joke, but the combination of the wine in his system and the joy in his gut make it feel serious, "Yes."
"Wait, really?" Hen asks.
"If she wants to dance, I'll teach her to dance. We had fun today," Eddie finishes his glass and notices he's probably at the point where he's drunk enough to talk about the Buck thing.
"You don't have to do that Eddie. I'm sure we could pay for lessons somewhere," Karen offers.
"Or we could pay you," Hen offers.
"I have an idea for that actually," alright, Eddie, be brave, "I give Mara dance lessons and you both give me gay lessons."
or
When Mara becomes obsessed with ballroom dance Eddie becomes her teacher. Along the way he realizes he's in love with Buck, starts receiving "gay lessons" from Hen and Karen, and forms a ragtag dance academy. What could possibly go wrong?

Summary
“I know this is difficult,” Angela continued. “But there is something else you need to know. The reason I’m calling.”
Right, why was he getting a call from Child Protective Services after all? Unless...
“Ali had a daughter,” Angela says. “Her name is Charlotte. She’s four.”
Four.
The number lands like a verdict. Four years. The same amount of time that had passed since he last spoke to Ali. Buck can feel his chest tighten, and he weakly removes his grip from the couch and up to his hand holding the phone. One. Two. Three.
“She’s mine,” he whispered faintly.
“Yes,” Angela confirmed. “Ali listed you as Charlotte’s biological father.”
“I didn’t know,” Buck whispered. “I didn’t know.”

Summary
“I lied, Eddie. I- I don’t have food poisoning.”
Eddie looks at him confused. “Buck, what are you talking about.”
“I…” Buck shakes his head, blinking away the tears. His knee shakes, and he can’t make it stop, but he’s not sure if it’s because of the withdrawal symptoms or the fear of what he’s about to confess.
It only makes Eddie more worried, though, and he reaches out, placing a hand on Buck’s knee, covering his own.
“Buck, you’re scaring me, man. What’s going on?”
He feels a tear slip out against his will and he drops his head. “I- I need help.”
Or: What if Buck followed through with telling Eddie about his opioid addiction?
