Summary
Kaiser was just a passing knight, of sorts, from what Ness remembered. Ness doesn't remember what he saw first that was so captivating; the blond hair that seemed to sparkle in the tavern lighting, or the sword strapped to his hip. The mage hadn't even been the one to ask if he could join Kaiser; the knight had approached him, with a narrowed expression, and asked him a single question that had made Ness agree to join him.
"Do you believe in the impossible?"
In Lynanis, you are expected to be the best. There is no room for failure or hesitation. Ness has learned that lesson the hard way, being shunned from guilds for being unable to cast powerful spells or being able to use healing magic. He learned that lesson from his parents; who dismissed him in favor of tradition.
Tired of not knowing where his powers stem from, he decided to go on a journey; attempting to find the answers to his questions. But maybe it wasn’t as easy as he originally thought it would be; with trials along the way to the truth.
