To Aaron, death was an inevitability.
Of course, avoiding it was preferred, but he lived his life surrounded by danger. If anything, he chased it. The thrill of a fight was worth the risk. He didn't have anything to lose other than his pride. No one to protect, no one to fight for—other than himself. He didn't expect that to change.
But, when he sees a head of blonde hair in the middle of the damn road, one could call his urge to help instinct.
Or; Tommy’s limbo is different than what he could’ve ever expected. A werewolf who seemed to care an unusual amount about whether or not he slept in the music closet, a girl with amber eyes who’s clinginess reminded him an awful lot of an old friend, and a severe lack of direction on his behalf.
