"Right. Like.. I think congrats. Guess you got lucky there, huh?" Their manager already seemed like an odd man. Flame had no idea what to think of him, but Flame also had a job thanks to said guy, so he supposes he can't complain much there. Whatever, bro.
Parrot hums, the sink turns on behind him. "Yeah. Guess so, dude." They fall into a comfortable silence after that. Finishing their preparation in a smooth flow that doesn't take that long now that there was two people working instead of one. It's as nice as can be. Flame almost enjoys working, up until there's a loud crash in the kitchen and a yell of "WEMMBU!!" that interrupts the brief moment of peacefulness.
Bro.
or, Flame, Wemmbu, Spoke, & Parrot end up working at a cafe together. This is just as eventful as it seems. Maybe more? This is really just the beginning.

Flame offers comfort the only way he knows how. Egg snorts, a weak, forced out sound. Flame wonders how he’d react if something happened to Lomedy. He’d probably be upset, too. “You’re gonna take on Law by yourself?” Egg isn’t trying to be mean. Flame doesn’t get upset. Besides, Flame liked it when people were blunt with him. If they didn’t believe in him, he had more to prove. Made things more fun.
“I can handle a large group of people.”
or, Flame doesn't actually believe Wemmbu's dead. What better way to settle his doubts than to ask Egg about it?

He gestures at the cloak that covers Wemmbu’s body. Dirtied and frayed at the edges. He’d taken it off to fight, because the extra fabric was a weakness while he was in the air. Easy to grab onto and it made dodging stupidly hard as well. Um. Hold on.. He’s getting distracted. Egg definitely wasn’t interested in his cloak.
“Um. I actually haven’t checked, if I’m being honest,” Wemmbu confesses, wincing when Egg’s wings fluff up in what was probably not happiness.
“Brother.”
or, after blowing up Ferre's base, Wemmbu's hurt & Egg's wings need preening. Luckily for them, they have each-other.

Lomedy is literally shaking, eyes wide and lips quivering as he stares up at Flame pleadingly. “No, bro! Go fight your own battles. It’s literally your turn to clean the barn. You go do it! It’s just a few spiders.” Flame ignores the fact that he would’ve been just as terrified if he saw those eight legged creatures. Lomedy was not going to make him take care of that spiderweb at all.
“I’ll give you headpats, bro!”
And.. now Flame is listening.
or, Forgiveness to Flame looks a whole lot like living on a farm with Lomedy. Changing isn't a simple thing, but when you're not alone, it's sure as hell easier.

It’s not something Silas was sure he could accept, but he does anyway, because he feels as though making an enemy of Jan was a bad idea.
