Villanelle’s voice was playful, but so innocent. So soft.
Eve slowly opened her eyes again, plastering her gaze to the hazel ones already peering at her.
Villanelle blinked slowly, her glance soft as she was searching for answers in Eve’s eyes.
Eve felt how a little smile was sneaking up upon her, raising the corners of her mouth just slightly.
