Summary
Wyn’s first memory is of climbing a pile of logs with a panicking Iceberg right behind while Franky laughs at him in the background. They can remember the texture of timber beneath their hands, uncaring of splinters against their soft skin. They had almost tripped and fallen before Iceberg caught them in his arms and Ferna had to tweezer out splinters from a sobbing toddler.
Wyn’s second memory is of sitting on Tom’s tummy, giggling along with Tom’s booming laughter as the movement threatened to make them fall. They think they can remember an anxious Iceberg also standing by to catch them in that memory.
The years after that are a blur of helping their mother in the forge and Tom with the sea train.
They were 13 when the train was completed. They were also 13 when they learned what they had been building their entire life. They were 13 when they learned who the Pirate King Gol D. Roger was. They were 20 when they met Kaku for the first time. And they were 21 when they learned of the secret Ferna and Tom left behind: the legacy named Pluton.

She sits prettily, traditional kimono folding and laying in all the right ways as she sits on her knees across from him, white hair catching the sunlight that reaches them through the sliding glass doors that opens to the zen garden that is the Himura Estate’s backyard. She’s prim and proper, everything a woman should be. Back straight, head tilted down in deference, cool grey eyes not daring to look into the eyes of the man before her, not speaking unless her father prompts her. Which he doesn’t. Himura Kori sits next to her, doing enough talking for the three of them, boasting of the power of Rei-san’s quirk, her range, her control.
He wonders why then, it looks like she’s never worked a day in her life, if her quirk is so powerful, and why instead she’s being offered up like a show dog for sale.
Or, I hate Todoroki Enji and I rewrite his entire relationship. Change a few things, make things a bit worse, but it ends up making things better. Read the tags. Also I just want the entire soap opera that is the Todoroki family to be happy, and that starts with making Todoroki Enji a decent human being.
