Summary
Draco was in class too. Harry had started seeing him everywhere; looking hunted in the corridors and on the stairs, at meals eating alone at the end of the Slytherin table, and once pacing outside the Room of Requirement. It was like a switch had flipped in Harry’s brain, sending the same signal over and over, ‘oh, there’s Malfoy’. Each transmission was a strange comfort, confirmation that even after literally dying and coming back, Harry still wanted to punch Draco Malfoy.
Or: Harry's gone back for eighth year at Hogwarts and nothing is quite the same, save his inability to leave Draco alone. But then he finds that Draco isn't what he expected either, as they spend the month of December stuck in each other's orbit.

It's nearly been a year since the Battle of Hogwarts, and with everyone healing their lives and homes, no one has paid much attention to the savior. Well, the stuff that counts anyway.
Draco and Harry are separated for the first time since they got together. Harry is off to the Burrow, Draco to the Manor. Neither wants to leave Hogwarts. Though, four days into their break, Harry is celebrating Fred and George's birthday with the whole family, and a unexpected visit comes in the form of a bleeding out, dying Draco Malfoy.
