Conrad has a rough plan for most days: scheduled appointments, things he has to do, things he better do and things he would like to do. And plans change, that’s completely normal. He just never expects the reason for the change of plans to be Belly landing in California in an hour.
Tremor doesn’t reach his hands before he replies to her messages. But just as he does and Conrad blocks the phone, his hands start trembling so hard the phone falls between his knees and he lets his fingers tangle in his hair and tug hard trying to feel something to assure his brain it’s not a dream. Belly in California, willing to see him? He had too many dreams starting exactly this way not to question his sanity at least for a moment.
'Can't Stop' made me do it, but TTPD is the official soundtrack. It gets better before it gets even better and barely ever gets worse. It's a fluff and smut train, but angsty feelings will be addressed
