Summary
When Ivan tastes death, it tastes like Till, phantom lips still lingering on his own and claiming one final part of Till’s life. He meets Till’s eyes as he goes, and sees nothing but the shock and confusion he expected. Behind that, however, is light, and Ivan bleeds out knowing he is seen.
All that being said, he wakes up only a few moments later to the quiet humming of another person—Till, he recognises immediately—singing quietly beside him.

A half-empty bottle of water is pressed into his hands. “You need to eat. Ivan too.”
Reminded of the man who nearly sacrificed his life for him, Till feels for his pulse for the nth time that hour.
Thump-thump-thump.
Still alive.
Mizi looks at him with something in her gaze. Till opens the bottle and takes a sip.
