He transferred for a better basketball team, for his future.
(Okay and maybe because his best friend wouldn’t shut up about it.)The campus is huge, he wouldn’t have to worry about bumping into Theo when he decided to transfer. And he was definitely not going to be the reason for Keeho to miss out on this opportunity. Somehow though, they’d still always end up around each other.
Both petty and refusing to talk it out since it'd only turn into arguments anyway.
And really, nothing dramatic ever happened between them. Their personalities just never matched and they simply couldn’t stand the other’s existence.
But how much does that really mean when they’re suddenly forced to spend time together thanks to mutual friends and overlapping classes?Or

Kai hums, leaning his head against Beomgyu’s huddled up form, happy that the hand stayed and softly carded through his hair. There might’ve been hesitation in Beomgyu’s touch but Kai decided to not mention it and rather enjoy the attention he had all for himself. Savored the way his heart got fed.
“It was okay,” Kai says softly, closing his eyes when Beomgyu chuckled.
“That’s good,” the elder replied.

Kai pokes his head out, curious, and his eyes fall on a stranger balancing a stack of boxes, shoulders straining under the weight. For a moment, Kai doesn’t breathe.
Pretty.
The man freezes. Slowly, he lifts his head, and their eyes meet. Kai’s stomach plummets straight through the floor.
Then the stranger smiles. Kai sees the faintest hint of pink brush his cheeks, like maybe he isn’t used to compliments blurted out so honestly.
“Thanks,” he says simply.
Kai’s heart seizes.
The full horror dawns on him in a rush: he said that out loud. He called his new neighbour pretty. To his face. Within five minutes of the man even moving in.
Kai's cats keep playing matchmaker between him and his pretty new neighbour.
