"Murdoc looks terrible—even more than usual. He’s disheveled and covered in monitors. Asleep, he looks nearly dead. If this man—this man who bought her a jetpack as a child, and kind of taught her how to drive, and never hesitated to cut down any interviewer who said the slightest thing inappropriate about her—dies after she yelled at him on the phone and abandoned him in jail, Noodle will never forgive him. Or herself."
Shortly after the release of Cracker Island, the band's good times are derailed by a medical mystery. Murdoc has an existential crisis, Noodle takes it upon herself to save her sort-of parental figure, Russel tries to keep the peace...and 2D realizes it's time to adult.
