Summary

When a mage and their magic come of age, they summon their familiar from their realm forming a bond with them.
Vi’s magic had blossomed late and grew slowly, now that she was finally at the proper level, she is ready to take the next step and summon a familiar. Excited and a little nervous to see who/what her magic pairs her with.
Caitlyn had been summoned once before, ages ago when she was still young, curious and innocent. Her mage had been like a dream until that dream turned into a nightmare she had to escape from. She had never been the same since, now cold and withdrawn the scars a reminder never to trust another human mage again even as she is determined never to be summoned again even if it kills her.
Vi has a challenge in front of her as she juggles getting her familiar to trust her, her growing and unstable magic, all while a threat emerges from the shadows gaining power with their eyes set on an even bigger prize.
