Listen, I know I was a real shitty person before I died and I probably deserved what was coming to me... but did I really have to be reborn into a game? I mean come on, this isn't some weird fanfic. What am I supposed to do here, change the future? I wouldn't even know where to start. I can resist the urge to change things. Besides, it's not like this is some sort of test... right?

Summary
The world is cruel to those who are different, regardless if they’re humans or ghouls. Sometimes it’s the ones closest to us that cause the most pain. How refreshing it was to find someone who seemed to understand you and your pain. In some twisted way, we were the same. The only real difference was that for him, I was just entertainment.
