Puzzled, Finn watched the floor next to R2-D2 as the holo slowly took shape, scan lines thickly visible on the old-format hologram. It was a man kneeling, one hand pressed to his side and the other supporting himself as he leaned heavily against the ground. "Chewie," he said, and Finn blinked at the hologram because surely that couldn't be who it looked like.
"Oh you've got to be kidding me," Poe said.
The Falcon leaves Exegol in a hurry to help some of the other systems that are rising up across the galaxy. But when the next battle is over, they get a holo message on the ship's oldest comms system—one that's been broken since years before the Resistance was founded. Finn doesn't have any idea who's calling, but Chewie and Lando seem to have a guess.
