Summary
How hard can it be to court one mortal woman?
For Solas, apparently very hard—especially when he is determined to do it 'properly' according to customs no one has practiced for thousands of years. Between interrupted dream sequences, misunderstood poetry, and companions who just won't stop offering advice or getting in the way, pride might still be his biggest obstacle yet.

an outright endearing and still beautiful fic, with both Solas' personality and what a Dalish inquisitor's desires could be, and how both of those misstep against each other until something simple ties them both together. absolutely lovely to read, and fantastic writing as well! very recommended.

Summary
The Inquisitor talks just a little bit more, and Solas listens just a little bit better.
When he first meets her, he does not like her.
She is the perfect culmination of every mistake he’s ever made, quintessentially Dalish with Mythal’s vallaslin tracing her cheekbones, built on the narrow bird bones that are so common to the modern creatures that call themselves elven.

the writing and characterizations are absolutely on point and amazing. i can't stop thinking about this fic, nor about how wonderful the writing itself on its own is. highly recommend, and a wonderful twist on canon divergence that blends canon from origins all the way up to veilguard.
100000/10 love it, give it a read if you can!
