Summary
Han Jisung has been afraid for as long as he can remember. Which, to be fair, means only five years to him since he doesn't remember anything from before he was taken, from before the people in his village had turned on him and handed him over to their cruel king as a servant in exchange for more time to pay their debt. Or at least that's what he's been told. Because next to his name there are only three other things he remembers:
Feathers. Dark as the night and soft as velvet.
Screaming. Loud, desperate screaming. "𝘐'𝘮 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺. 𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶."
And then falling. That's the last thing he remembers. The wind roaring in his ears, his eyes tearing from the sharp wind. He doesn't remember hitting ground or anyone catching him, but he's convinced only an angel could've saved him. But of course that's stupid; the angels fell years ago and with them, all magic had died.
But maybe, just maybe... his angel will come to save him.

“Can I at least have a sip of water?” He mumbled while kneeling, his throat was dry. He wanted to quench his thirst. Not pleading. More like a command.
He heard a chuckle, a mocking laugh. “Look at you asking for water and still bratty.” He fisted Felix’s blonde hair, jaw clenching. “Suck this first and I’ll decide if you deserve water.”

“Can you hear me?” He asks, and Minho at least has half the mind to nod back in response. Seungmin visibly relaxes at the answer and is about to pull away when Minho grips his wrist to prevent him from leaving.
“Hyung, I have to get you-”
“I’m out.”
Seungmin freezes in his hold. “What do you mean you’re out?” Minho feels dread creep up the back of his neck. He loosens his hold and shakes his head, the small clarity he has giving him the chance to get Seungmin to leave and out of harm's way.
Lee Minho was practical. He was smart. Just not when it came to remembering the last time he stocked up on coconut water.
