Summary
One more gig. One more ditched after party. Rebecca and Kiwi ruminate on the status of their group, with David and Lucy growing more and more distant. Some mild teasing from Kiwi sparks a curiosity in Rebecca towards her netrunner, with the solo desperate to show her loyalty even to someone so willing to give her the cold shoulder.
For whatever reason, either out of pity or because she's going soft, Kiwi entertains the idea of spending the night with her co-worker. But not all one-night stands end when the sun comes up...

She closed her eyes for a moment before answering. It never ceased to amaze her just how much of a douchebag Johnny could be. It was truly impressive. His larger-than-life persona was realer than most people thought. It wasn’t a publicity stunt to shoot his Malorian into the air on stage. That was just Johnny. Unlike the cigarettes he chain-smoked, he didn't have a filter.

Summary
Soulmates didn’t mean shit unless you convinced yourself of it. The same mark on two people’s skin didn’t make them compatible. Tony might have once been ready to talk himself into believing it, but as usual, experience taught him never to trust that things would work out.
It was all a matter of perspective. But maybe, if fate really did exist, it had a twisted sense of what was right. After all, in rejecting the idea that someone could magically be “meant” for him, he ended up happier than he could have thought.
