“Y’know,” Nursey starts, then stops.
“Hm?” Dex prompts over his hammering heart, glued to every syllable Nursey’s willing to give him. “What?”
“I may have lost at beer pong,” Nursey says, his gaze for sure dipping down to Dex’s lips and lingering there for a moment this time, “but there’s other stuff I’m better at.”
Dex is blaming the drinks he's had for the way he matches Nursey, letting himself look down at this pretty mouth so openly, then back up to his eyes, for the way he pushes and asks, “Oh yeah? And what’s that?”
That’s all it takes, apparently. Nursey leans in closer slowly, giving Dex enough time to call it, to pull back, to pop this moment like a bubble and forget it ever happened. But Dex doesn’t.
Or, 8 times Nursey and Dex kiss without talking about it and 1 time they do.

At the beginning of his senior year, Nursey immediately (if unwillingly) realizes two things in quick succession.
One: A large portion of the Samwell student body is apparently into Dex, even if the guy is completely oblivious to this fact.
And two: For reasons that Nursey refuses to verbalize, he has a pretty big problem with that.

It’s surprising, Eddie thinks as he silently drops his hands into Steve’s, just how easy this is— how simple it could be if he wasn’t so terrified of his decidedly Not Platonic feelings for the man kneeling in front of him, holding his hands and gently rubbing his thumbs across Eddie’s knuckles. Steve’s hands are warm if just a little calloused where scar tissue has developed, and they stabilize Eddie enough to open his eyes. Christ, he’s so pretty.
“There you are,” Steve smiles, a little crooked but entirely perfect when Eddie finally looks at him. “Wanna take me for a spin?”
These are the moments when Eddie remembers why he’s fallen ass over ankles for Steve Harrington.
