Summary
Canon-divergent season 2. No wraith, no magic hat.
The curse is broken and their entire world shatters. When Regina is put on trial for crimes against the people, she's dealt a punishment no one could have ever imagined. Now saddled with the burden of responsibility, the Saviour seems intent on making it her personal mission to ensure Regina's safety. And it wouldn't be such a big deal, only there are feelings that choke Regina whenever Emma shows that she cares (which is often, and never ending, and a problem).
But Regina learns that wants and needs are often one in the same, that redemption can come in form of healing, and gifts from a curse can only be unwrapped by the people who broke it.

"So her son thought that, when she’d said, “I’m gonna…I’m sort of going to be getting married,” she’d meant she’s marrying Regina.
And not, you know, her live-in boyfriend."
SQ. Post-6x13 AU nonsense.
