Summary
It is a time of great myth-makers.
The Argo sails. Heracles performs his labours. Helen’s beauty draws suitors from all over. An oversight with the guest list at an important wedding causes a quarrel among the gods.
Meanwhile, in a small farming village, a young woman prays to Ares with a dream of leading an army of women to found their own kingdom.
A prequel set in my continuity of Hades-inspired Ares-centric fics (now heavily riffing on the Iliad and other mythology), this explores Ares’ relationship with Otrera, founder of the Amazons, as well as the Trojan War and its aftermath.

If you haven’t read any of the other entries in this series, note the relationship tags: I place Ares in a long-established romantic relationship with Thanatos, as well as with (of course) Aphrodite.

Summary
This happened because I was working out the chronology for my personal continuity and what was happening around the time each of Ares' kids were born, and then I started writing some little scenes and vignettes to flesh them out, and then it kind of got away from me, and then I realized I could probably finish it in time for (North American) Father's Day and that would be a fun thematic thing.
Don't expect too much of an overarching story here--as mentioned it's mostly a collection of shorts loosely (or less loosely, depending on the chapter) centered on each of Ares' kids with Aphrodite, plus a bonus chapter in the middle covering the Sisyphus incident from Ares' perspective (overlapping with my other fic Marked By Death).

Then he is asked to help Zagreus break out of the underworld, and things get complicated.
Told from Ares' POV, this follows the main plot of the game.
Rated M for mature themes, but there is nothing graphic or explicit. Brief reference to a dubiously-consensual sexual situation.

Summary
Set mostly during the events of episodes 39-41, with a few references to other parts of the series as well as a bit of made up back story. Basically my love letter to Critical Role in general and everyone’s favourite well dressed sorcerer in particular.
It started out as the thought “Gilmore’s offscreen duel with Thordak would be fun to write” then morphed into “so why did Uriel trust a random shopkeeper with the safety of his family anyway” then took Matt’s comments in a couple of places that Gilmore had shades of the Scarlet Pimpernel and ran with it.
Some post-episode-38 Vaxmore angst but it's not the main focus of the story.
