Summary
She loved Osc like this, so completely given over. Osc always melted so easily for her, always followed every touch, every murmur, every shift in tone as if Carla were divinity itself. That devotion twisted something deep in Carla’s chest, equal parts pride and something dangerously close to ache.
Because the truth, the part Carla didn’t like admitting to herself, was that she always left these moments wanting more.
Or, Osc can’t make Carla come, so Carla thinks about how she could fix that.

Summary
“Tell me again, why do we have to arrive so early?” says Charles, one of his best friends and the person who insisted on carpooling with him to the wedding.
Max doesn't bother turning to look at him, instead focusing on the road to the venue, “Because I promised I would help with the last bit of preparations.”
“But I didn't sign up for that,” Charles protests.
“If you want a ride, then you’re arriving when I say so,” Max is not in a good mood, and Charles's complaining isn't helping.
“Wow, geez, don't bite my head off,” Charles pauses, and Max knows, he just knows, that nothing good will follow, “It’s not my fault Carlos is getting married.”
