Thus far the Canadian wilderness is maintaining the exact range of temperatures necessary to irritate me: it’s not so mild as to be negligible, yet neither is it extreme enough to threaten hypothermia. I suppose I could shed a few layers just to escape this exhausting middle-ground and add some excitement to the search — it wouldn’t be especially responsible of me, but then what’s life without a little borderline suicidal reckless abandon?
Wednesday's search for Enid ends in success, for an extremely broad definition of the word "success."

'You have no idea what you are doing' is a sentence which can be applied to you on as broad or as narrow a scope as one wishes, depending on whether one is hoping to incite a more existential or practical sort of dread in you. This is a selection of several anniversaries set throughout Rose Lalonde and Kanaya Maryam's everlasting marriage.

Summary
The reward for victory is not, nor was it ever supposed to be a triumphant return to your various homeworlds with their civilizations miraculously intact and perfectly accepting of alien life. The reward for victory was never going to be the opportunity to live out the rest of your days with your girlfriend in her excessive house in the woods of New York, nor was it to snuggle up by the fire with your matesprit as the undead try fruitlessly to enter your lovely desert hive. The reward for victory is exactly what was always promised to you: a new universe containing new planets and new peoples over which you may rule as you see fit for as long as you live. As it so happens, both gods and rainbow drinkers live a long, long time.
