Shi Qingxuan wasn’t panicking. Absolutely not. She was fine, totally fine. What was it if her water broke in the middle of a deserted street, with only a kid for company?
“Ol’ Feng, you’re bleeding! Help! Stay here! I’m gonna get some help! HELP!”
“No, WAIT!” Qingxuan tried to call the girl back, as she felt her legs weakening under her, but she was already gone. Great. Now, she was going to have to make a preterm delivery on an alley all by herself. Oh, it couldn’t get any worse, could it?
“Qingxuan!”
Yes, not only it could get worse, it’d just gotten so much worse, it was the worst it could get. Her body cringed all it could hearing that voice.
EDIT: as of 2025, and as it seems I can't bring myself to write again after the writer's block that I've found myself stuck in for the last 4 years, I'm considering this a dropped work. I'm sorry everyone that still hoped for an ending.

Summary
Shi Wudu was a hard man to please, and a harder man to earn the heart. But slowly, steadily like the earth, the Earth Master dug his way through his defenses. It was hard to justify the feelings, really, they were much more a nick in his pride, as his distaste for the fellow elemental master was well known in the whole heavenly capital. He hated to like the Earth Master that way; hated he desired him that way.
Pride wouldn't allow for his haughty facade to drop, and face the possibility of rejection by the Earth Master would wound less than an actual rejection and the terrible gossip that would follow.
