Beatrice joined her cousin as they gazed towards the end of the street, seeing Ava standing with her hands relaxed at her sides, her two companions next to her, not as equally at ease. She saw the Air Nomad’s eyes flicker towards her, meeting her stare as she grinned and waved. “Hi, Bea.”
At this, the Avatar’s companions looked at her with frowns sporting their faces, and then back at the soldier as they tried to make sense of the interaction. Beatrice’s cheeks flushed when she noticed Lilith doing the same in her peripheral, clearing her throat as she took out her daggers. “Avatar,” she greeted back, voice neutral.
