    The truth of the matter was Moira probably had a better chance with Charles than Erik ever would but in his mind, he could ignore that and pretend Charles would consider him as a potential partner. He almost felt like a bird, showing off his powers to Charles like a male bird would flaunt the colors of his feathers hoping to attract a mate. He couldn’t even bring himself to care if he was showing off.

    At least he had powers, unlike Moira. But maybe that was part of why Charles would choose her over him, he’s made his feelings for humans clear. Of course, there was also the fact that she was a woman and Erik was a man. That couldn’t help his chances.
