“No, no.” Cipher is saying as she follows his gaze, dread in her tone. “Please don’t tell me that guy’s your type.”
He dyed his hair back to white. Mydei finds himself thinking, as Phainon throws his head back, laughing, and his bangs fall into his eyes.
“Worse.” He says glumly. “That’s my ex boyfriend.”
Cipher’s reaction is just a tad over the top. She chokes on her drink, spluttering unflatteringly as she stares at Mydei like he’s grown a second head. “And when were you going to tell me, your dearest friend Cifera…” She starts slowly.
“...that your ex is Phainon fucking Khaslana?”
Mydei is supposed to be here to celebrate. After so much hard work he and his band—Titans of Calamity, had finally signed a recording contract.
The last person he wanted to run into was him. Popular, handsome, up-and-coming model Phainon, who had become unrecognizable from the boy he loved in high school.
Mydei never got over their disastrous breakup, and right now, he just wants to forget.

“It’s not enough,” Hugo called out in panic, scrambling to hold onto the wolf, his nails digging into Lycaon’s forearm in sheer frustration. “Lycaon, it’s not enough.”
Lycaon was still trying to be gentle. But gentleness was the last thing Hugo needed right now. Gentleness wouldn’t drive this numbness away; he needed something more intense to drive these hollow feelings away.
“Move. Harder. Make it hurt, please.” Hugo pleaded. God, he was begging now. He should’ve felt ashamed of himself.
Lycaon’s pace faltered. He slowed. “I would never hurt you, Hugo.”
“Please, Lycaon. I just need… something…. Anything! Make me feel something, please—” Hugo choked, a wet sob tore itself out of his throat.
“I will,” Lycaon said softly. “I’ll make you feel my love for you.”
