Summary
there isn’t much that irks robin buckley. actually, scratch that. there is quite a lot that irks her. research essays with the words “i think.” people letting the door shut on you the second you get there. the billboard hot-garbage 100. but more irking than all of those things combined: you. the subject of you makes her skin crawl. the subject of you makes her dizzy with frustration. the subject of you is unpleasant. it’s terrible. but really, the true terribility of it all is the sheer amount of headspace you happen to occupy in her brain; the sheer amount that she thinks of hating you, disliking you, despising you. even worse is that she hates, dislikes, and despises that she can’t seem to let go of you.
or; an avalanche of shared history that’s about to tumble down a very steep mountain when two girls with a nasty past are forced to work together on a school project.

Summary
You were Nancy Wheeler’s new assistant, taking over Fred’s old desk. She didn’t like you. Too bright, too obvious, too alive. And yet, you kept slipping into her world, closer than she expected—or wanted. Her relationship with Jonathan was crumbling, a quiet erosion she couldn’t stop, and when she found you there, willing and unafraid, she used you. A distraction. A dangerous one.
Maybe you were just the right kind of chaos at the right time.
Or
You still weren’t used to being there, in the very seat that once belonged to Fred Benson. The thought came with a strange mixture of guilt and gratitude, like stepping onto a stage someone else had fallen through. Hawkins didn’t talk much about Fred anymore, not out loud, but his ghost lingered in the way people avoided eye contact when they passed his empty mug on the shelf.
But that wasn’t why your pulse always beat a little too fast at work.
Across the room sat Nancy Wheeler.

Summary
You, the pastor's daughter, and Robin, a hot boob-lover, were supposed to work on a chemistry project, but then she takes you to Lovers’ Lake. Also, Eddie supports lesbians.
~~“You have dated some of the ugliest guys in Hawkins, you know that?”
“Oh my gosh,” you shake your head, “c’mon, they aren’t that bad!”
“They so are! You can’t tell me that Christopher Marks was a decision made of sound mind.”
You pop a light smack to Robin’s arm but don’t tell her off, “Yeah, fine, my exes aren’t lookers. But they were nice, right?” you turn to look at her this time, “Maybe I don’t date for looks.”
“You can date for personality and still have attractive partners,” Robin gives you a side eye, “Or, attractive to you, at least.”
