What if John Locke had already come to the island as a child?
John is a 13-year-old boy living with foster parents. His foster father gets a job with the Dharma Initiative and brings John with him to the island.
(By the way, I made Locke younger than he is in the show because if he had already come to the island at age 13, Ben would have been 7 years old.)
