Yeonjun finally felt his heart lighten, his breath releasing his worries as he finally managed to drag himself off of the seesaw without Taehyun.
Almost instantly, Taehyun straightened out his legs, preventing himself from falling down towards the ground like Yeonjun feared he would. Yeonjun realised then how much stronger Taehyun had gotten over the years and – that it was okay.

“Oh, Kai.” Soobin cooed softly at the younger, moving closer to Kai to pull him into his arms. He pressed their foreheads together but quickly flinched away; “Shit. Kai, you’re burning up.”
“Don’t shout, hyung. I’m sorry please don’t… don’t…” Kai’s voice trailed off, stutters filling his sentences as he struggled to understand what he himself wanted to say.
“Shh, it’s okay. It’s okay. Don’t speak, let hyung take care of you,” Soobin whispered softly.

“So, you missed me?” Kai had asked, his voice teasing and any other day Beomgyu would’ve denied him if he were to phrase it like that (even though it was the truth) but tonight, Beomgyu only squeezed him tighter before mumbling –
“Always do, baby.”
Kai didn’t respond at first. His arms found their way around Beomgyu’s shoulders, pulling him tighter into his embrace.
“But I’m right here.”
