The cops were looking for him. The city was against him, he knows he should be worried and panicked and yet, the only thing Peter could think about… was how mad Johnny had been at the bank robbery.
He’d looked ready to melt him alive. Called him a glory-stealer, a weasel. It should’ve made Peter mad too.
Instead…
He shook the thought off, leaned forward, and watched a few cabs speed past far below. There was only one person he could even try to talk to. Only one who might even consider hearing him out.
Johnny Storm .
Peter scoffed under his breath. “Of all people…”
But he couldn't help it. Johnny was a hero, loud and cocky and always five seconds from setting something on fire. But he wasn’t stupid. He’d know something was off, he would help him. And besides… he had looked good when he caught that falling beam the other day. Golden glow, smoke swirling around him. Like some fire-drenched demigod.
Peter blinked, shook his head hard. “Nope. Focus. This is not the time for that” He trailed off.
It was easier to jump off a roof than admit what he was thinking just right now.
Or, Spiderman and the Human torch do not like eachother, But that can change.
