Summary
Mint is a man who has faced nothing but hardship up until this point but just when it was at its worst, he reads a letter that could change it all. Beginning a new life in Pelican town is a brand new kind of difficult, but at least it's fun right? And what's up with that weird guy who seems to hate everything except the saloon?

This is a very indulgent fic that is more about just moving out to Stardew Valley than it is about the romance aspect at the start (hence the ultra slow burn, Shane is endgame but he is not even in the first two chapters oops) but we all need a little indulgence now and then :) also this is my first fic and idk how to write summaries lol
Also also, I am not fully mute myself and don't know sign language, but have had to use the pen-and-paper method before during nonverbal times in my life. Please let me know if anything should be changed, I promise I'm not trying to be insensitive, just might be ignorant in some aspects! I am trans masc though so that part of the farmer will be based on my own experience.
