Summary
The sunset always made Mike emotional. Looking at the night sky always made his chest hurt. Because that meant Will was gone.
Of course, Will was gone during the day too, but to Mike, Will was the sun. He was warm. He was the light in his life. Will was pure joy. He was yellow. So every morning, when the sun rose to signal the end of the dark skies, to Mike, it was Will returning and telling him it’s okay. It was him telling Mike that he was still here no matter what.
So when the sun set, Mike always got emotional. Because it meant Will’s warmth wasn’t there and he was alone for hours in cold and dark skies.
OR
Will sacrificed himself to end Vecna. This is the aftermath with Mike's emotions -

Summary
“The fuck do you want?” Richie tried to keep his voice from breaking, glancing around. “To beat me up?"
Connor furrowed his eyebrows, taking a few tentative steps forward. “No- no, I’d- no. Never.”
Richie felt his face get hot, could taste salt even though the tears hadn’t yet started again. “For fucks sake, then what?”
“I want to talk.”
OR,
How I think the arcade scene should've ended, plus a shit ton of Reddie (how Eddie got *LOVER* written on his arm cast.)
