According to malakhim legend, it is said that the stars that hang high above the gates to the Heavenly Steppes align with the moon and shine their silver light upon Desolation – a sight that had until now not been seen since the time of the First Shepherd and his lady paramour, when the world had been Paradise. Some believe it is the weakening of the veil between the realm of the living and the realm of the dead, others a brief view into waking dreams that are out of sight, out of mind.
On this night, Velvet reconnects with an old friend.
