Summary
It's during the summer of 1987 when Hyunjin is shuttled away from the drama of his parents' rocky relationship to spend his final summer break out west with his reclusive aunt in the town of Penn, Oregon, where time stretches as long and sweet as saltwater taffy.
There's something a little strange about Penn. Maybe it's something in the water, or something woven deep into the foundation of the town itself, but Hyunjin is determined to find out exactly what is going on before summer ends.

Bookmarker's Notes
This is (so far) my favorite skz fic I've read. Throughout the entire fic I was grinning ear-to-ear. The whole world that was created within the words of this fic made me feel so?? warm ??? and at home, like shit, I want an aunt leehwa from oregon.
ALSO another thing, this was my favorite take on characterization of the members, they were all super entertaining! Not one dull character!!
But honestly this fic deserves so much recognition and love.

Jeno doesn’t seem interested in breaking Donghyuck at all though, his hands are soft and smooth over where Donghyuck wants him most, places that he’s vulnerable, belly up. He’s trusting when he has Donghyuck by the hair in some standard-issue librarian closet, and tender when he admits he never learned how to use the Dewey decimal system. Jeno Lee is so dumb and has a mouth like a dog and a mouth like for kissing.

Summary
Minho's parents thought a change of scenery would be good for him, though he's not too sure. Minho expects to be counting down the days until summer ends and he can go back to a life where nothing happens, and he can fade into the background once more.
Little does he know that the island is full of secrets, potential new friends, an (admittedly talented) garage band, and a pretty surfer that Minho just can't seem to shake off, no matter how hard he tries.

Seungmin takes note of the faded bruises under Felix’s eye, on his cheek. Yellow and purple and green, a week old. A little thrill runs through Seungmin at the thought of fighting SpearB himself, of exchanging blows like gifts.
“Teach me to fight,” Seungmin blurts. “I want to fight SpearB and win.”
Felix gives him a long, level look, and then laughs so hard that he chokes on his cigarette.
