    Upon a re-read of chapter 3 of Heated Rivalry, I saw that Shane spent New Years Eve 2009-10 with his teammates at their hotel in Ottawa. In the book, Canada and Russia were at different hotels, but I started wondering what if they were at the same hotel? And what would've happened if Shane and Ilya happened to run into each other that New Year's night? Just a sweet little interlude.
