Summary
Jaheira has never been so deluded as to believe she is the best of mothers. She is the mother her children are loved by. When no one else would do the work of caring for them, she will do it proudly. When a child comes to her home to kill her in the night, she has a third cub by morning. Jaheira does her best to do right by the girl. It isn't good enough. Whatever it takes, as a Harper she will do, even if she can only offer to make it quick.
She is not a very good mother. She is the one the Dark Urge can't kill.
