Nikolai’s eyes skirted around the cafe. Easy to dismiss it as vigilance, in reality he was temporizing; weighting if to express what’s on mind. Ultimately he opted for rolling the dice. “No one should ever get to look at you unless you want them to”, rumbled with acerbic ring of protectiveness.
Now that is a surprise. “Shadows suit you better Fyodor”, Nikolai reasoned with telling ferocity. He abruptly leaned forwards, only to just as abruptly halt inches before reaching him and settle on words instead of barbarity – “Just I’d like them to be enlightened enough for me to reach”
In a heartbeat protectiveness evanesced; sham, mere covering for brazen itch to posses him, inside out. Woefully far from novelty, but that sternness in gaze… this man isn’t playing around, oh not in the slightest.
Set during cannibalism arc. Nikolai pays Fyodor a surprise visit and tries persuading into changing plans under the wire and choosing him – seemingly out of affections, in reality not so much.
