Jon’s team had only won as a technicality. With his and Martin’s individual points from both making it to the very end, it had tided them over by only a few points from the second-place team.
Then, Jon accidentally started an apocalypse and the competitors were revealed to be supernatural monsters, and he's been in hiding since then. If only Survivor, the reality tv show that started it all (patroned by the Lukases), hadn't sent him an invite to an All-Stars Season.

PEACE IN THE GALAXY! Captain Fox’s unexpected sacrifice has toppled the Empire, but the surrender of the Imperial army is in dispute. The Imperial loyalist Marshal Commander Cody has refused to withdraw the Imperial occupation of the small planet of Naboo unless the Jedi-Rebel Alliance gives into his strange demands.
Out of desperation, the Jedi-Rebel Alliance has sent three representatives to Naboo in hopes of negotiating a peace treaty and freeing the captives in the Nabooan Royal Palace, including the puppet queen.
These three representatives include the requested negotiator and hostage Obi-Wan Kenobi; the traitorous best friend ex-Captain Rex; and a young Rebel pilot. Together, they fly to Naboo to settle the conflict - and some old scores…

Pei Xiu quickly changed his sword’s trajectory and swung with all his might. Only that, even after being fooled, the butterfly was still faster than him and easily fluttered away.
“Not bad, so you can use your brain. But can you avoid this?”
The butterfly changed its trajectory and flew towards Pei Xiu like a shooting star. It was going way too fast for Pei Xiu to dodge, so he raised his sword and prepared to take the hit.
At that moment, a silver sword’s glare appeared from his left. It moved even faster than the butterfly and accurately sliced the insect in half.
His saviour was wearing a helmet that made it hard to discern his identity. However, without even looking Pei Xiu knew that this soldier was Xie Lian.
The butterfly master clapped his hands with a laugh. “So your friend also decided to come out. And here I though he was only planning to watch.”
Xie Lian sheathed his sword and politely clasped his hands in greeting. “Sir, we mean no harm. It would be degrading for you to lower yourself to the level of mortals. Please let us go.”
The man’s hands that had been clapping a moment ago froze mid-air. There was an obvious shift in atmosphere causing Xie Lian to turn wary.
