“Yeah, alright,” says Haru, his voice a little raspy. But when Wumuti makes to retract her arm, he holds on tighter. “Mama?”
“...What is it?”
“Can you—can you give me something that smells like you, for now? Like you do with Hyunnie? I’m still a little…” he trails off, still skittish around the topic of his heat.
Give him your dirty underwear, says Wumuti's instinct.
“I have a spare handkerchief,” she offers instead.
Haru presents, and Wumuti has a problem.

Haru glanced up to find Wumuti tilting his head at him, the red tassels in his shiny dark hair swaying.
“You’re fidgeting a lot,” Wumuti continued, “like a naughty little fox. Something on your mind?”
If Haru truly were a fox, his ears would be pinned back against his head. He had no idea how long Wumuti had been watching his internal struggle; what kind of faces he’d been making, given the nature of his thoughts.
In the winter of Haru’s nineteenth birthday, the seedling Wumuti had planted in his heart grew a new leaf.

Summary
Wumuti's last attempt at trying out dating apps after constant fails leads him to Haru, who he can only describe as the human equivalent of an overly excited, curious puppy.
Haru would do anything to find out all the ways he can make Wumuti feel good, and he's more than excited figuring out things about his body.

Summary
Haru’s behavior is unusual enough to comment on but not weird enough to feel noteworthy to anyone, and maybe that’s where the whole problem started. Maybe they have “poor boundaries” like their manager has gently tried to suggest, or maybe Wumuti just coddled Haru too much, and now he’s turned rotten. Whatever it is, his obsession with leaving his scent on Wumuti hasn’t let up at all.
Or, Haru presents as a baby alpha.

Summary
Wumuti had meant to put a stop to it.
It was just supposed to be one kiss, but then one kiss had turned into two, and it turned out that saying no to Haru was never something that got any easier with practice.
He was aware that he was only digging himself deeper into a hole, but every inch deeper only made it harder to stop.
