He has been good. He even hoped, at some point, that he could be someone to Minho, someone important; that more than being just an union, they could be a unit: strong and happy together. That if he had to give up on love, he could at least aspire to friendship. That he could be enough. That if he was patient enough, beautiful enough, smart enough, he would eventually earn more than a passing glance, a polite smile and a few words here and there. Jisung’s stupid heart had even fluttered, once upon a time. Evidently, he had been alone in that want so he let that dream go, resigned himself to this reality.

“Who was your greatest love and why did you fall in love with them?” Minho doesn’t know if he can bear to watch any more of this video. Whatever answer Jisung gives is bound to break his heart. Mesmerised and scared, he can’t do much more than watch as a series of emotions quickly flicker across Jisung’s face. Bright and dark at once, he seems to be lost inside his own head for a moment before he looks at the camera and offers a watery smile. Something fragile and vulnerable and devastating. Then, Jisung gets a hold of himself and smiles at the camera again, shy and sweet.
“His name is Minho,” he says through a rough voice, blinking back tears.or nine years after their break up, minho stumbles upon a video where Jisung admits that he was the love of his life. a lot of feelings unravel after that.
