    He doesn’t elaborate, which only makes Elliot more enthusiastic. He pushes through the swinging door, the antiseptic smell hitting him harder now. He reaches the third door and pauses for a beat.

    Then pushes it open.

    When she finally tears her eyes away and lifts them back to him, he’s smiling shyly.
