And we play along. Lingering stares. Touches that never land. Words that mean far more than they should. Calculated provocations, half-smirks that say "we shouldn't" while whispering "but you know you want to."
And the truth? The truth is, the problem was never how we felt. I still feel it. And that’s the problem.
