Summary
History was generally not kind to Queen Rhaenyra, but in one matter, the maesters had shown her mercy. A dragonseed girl named Nettles came out of nowhere and disappeared swiftly, never to be seen again - and no one could know for sure if the King-consort had taken her to bed.
But reality had been less benign - for there had never been any girl named Nettles, only Lady Rhaena, Daemon Targaryen's daughter by his second wife.

“The lady at the bar. The pretty blonde one. Do you love her now? Did you fuck her? Is that why you don't want to fuck me?” Aeron's lip trembles as he speaks and it takes everything in Davos to not laugh in his face.
“No. No, I still love you, Bracken. I didn't fuck her,” Davos assures him, perhaps a little too amused for what the situation called for as his cheek dimples when he tries to bite back his smile. After all the bullshit they've put each other through recently, it seems funny to have Aeron begging for his love, and attention. Funny, because if it wasn't funny, it would shatter anything that was left of his broken, wretched, heart.
“Are you gonna fuck her?” Aeron asks suspiciously, eyes narrowing in inspection. Still not convinced.
This boy was gonna be the death of him.

Davos and Aeron are both NYC trust fund babies and they are definitely NOT dating.

It’s not until Aeron is pulling him back to the bed that he realizes just how much danger he’s really in. If he does this, if he makes love to this man, he’s going to spend the rest of his life a slave to him. Bracken or no Bracken, blood feud or no blood feud, he will be his until the end of his days.
“C’mon, Davos, don’t you want to make me yours?”
That’s it. The farce of a choice flies right out the window.
They meet as boys, and then again as young men. They belong to each other, but Davos is a Blackwood and Aeron a Bracken and there's a war brewing in King's Landing that would see them fight on opposite sides. Davos can't let that happen. He won't. Even if it means sacrificing everything, even if it means risking his life.
