“You’re not dead,” Till manages, his voice hoarse. “We'll still be us.”
For the first time, Till feels waves of terror shake through their profound silence.

That is what Taeyong writes down, when the students asks to write how he’d describe himself. Plain. He used to be more, in college, the list of descriptions longer. Maybe the years have mellowed him out, the routine of work and home the only thing he can rely on. But it doesn't matter. Nothing Taeyong thinks ever matters, really.
Because Taeyong doesn't matter. Simple as that.
“Nakamoto Yuta,” His smile is slight, but something about the intensity of his eyes have Taeyong looking away, “head of legal.” Cold, a sliver of it, and its easily explained by the ring he wears, Taeyong’s eyes only lingering before he pulls back, taking his seat.
A new project. A new team. That is all it takes, for something so simple to break down so easily.

Finally, the man smiles far too evilly (and far too handsomely), says "Oh, right," and starts paging back through his sketchbook. He tears out a specific one and hands it up to Hijikata's automatically outstretched hand. He doesn't normally make it a habit to just take random stuff from strangers, even (especially) ones who know what his cum tastes like. But his body moves on its own, hysterical with relief at the end of the conversational impasse, and he's already looking at it before he can decide not to.
