Summary
"Roy Mustang had no weaknesses. Of course, that wasn’t strictly true. Everyone had weaknesses. But, when it came to trying to crack his façade, stall his career, or trip him up just enough to get ahead, no one had been successful."
Colonel Morris thinks he has an ironclad plan to finally get rid of Colonel Mustang while also spurring his own career forward. He just needs a certain young Alchemist to help him out. Hopefully he didn't jump to any conclusions.

Summary
Every state alchemist must get rectified each year. They can present their research. Give a demonstration. Or participate in mock combat. Whatever they choose, they have to show up on time and ready to wow, or else they get stripped of their title.
Mustang thought Ed knew about this. He thought Ed would take this seriously and show up on time for once in his life. But, as he sits in a room with an asshole major general to his left and a ticking clock in front of him, he starts to wonder just how seriously Ed takes this whole military thing.
Has Ed disappeared just to piss him off? Or is there something else at play?

Nothing Good Ever Happens When It Rains by boredom

Summary
It was raining out. Nothing good ever happened when it rained. The moisture in the air, the water dribbling from the roof, the drops condensing on the window panes, all were reminders of just how useless Mustang was.
In some sick, twisted version of Murphy’s Law, nothing good ever happened when it rained because Mustang was useless in the rain. It was like the universe was conspiring against him to make his life even harder.
He was on high alert for most of the day because of it. Today would be the day some terrorist organization decided to make their move. Today would be the day some foreign army would invade. Today would be the day where everyone needed him to do something, and he’d be completely useless because it was raining out.
