Luffy’s voice slices through the quiet like a pebble tossed into still water. Law doesn’t look at him right away; the boy is staring up at the ceiling, his expression unreadable.
“Do you believe in weird dreams?”
Law’s shoulders stiffen.
“What do you mean?”
“Like…” Luffy turns his head slowly, his dark eyes landing on Law with unsettling clarity. “Dreams that don’t really feel like dreams. More like… blurry memories. Of something that never actually happened.”
