A very long time ago, Victor Trevor was sent by Mycroft Holmes to look after his little brother.Sherlock's years in university, his travels afterwards, his struggles with his brother and his relationship with drugs are not things Sherlock speaks of much, so John is intrigued when Sherlock begins to reveal things about his past. Things like Victor Trevor.
John Watson can tell there's more to this story than what Sherlock chooses to tell. Slowly, in a story that spans 1985-2011, the pieces are fitted together.
Based on The Adventure of the Gloria Scott and the events of the preceding years.

Summary
Sherlock takes on a new case where a local BDSM club are involved in human trafficking, with the club specialising in the sale, torture and eventual murder of submissives.
John isn't surprised in the slightest when he hears that Sherlock agreed to take the case but, when they go to the club under the guise of a Dom/sub relationship, he is surprised by how well Sherlock takes on the role of the Dominant male.
And how much he begins to like it.
