matt made a small, sad noise and moved his hands up to chris face, so that they were cupping his cheeks. without really noticing, it was almost instict, chris leaned his head into his brother’s hands and closed his eyes. the only thing he wanted to feel in this moment was his brother’s hands on his face, the warmth they radiated and how safe he felt in the embrace. “i am so sorry.” chris was surprised by how sudden the words left his mouth. once they did though, he couldn’t seem to stop. “i am so sorry. i never wanted it to get this far. i- i just couldn’t- i didn’t-“. a frustrated noise left his mouth and he balled his hands into fists at his sides. why couldn’t he just say what he was feeling? why couldn’t he get the apology past his mouth?
