Bruno finds Leone waiting for him.
They’re back in Naples, of course, warm salty air lapping at Bruno’s hair and the trees nearby—but they look faint and blurred, as if Bruno is viewing them through his peripheral vision, even though he’s looking straight at them.
The only thing in crystal-clear focus is Leone, seated at a white-clothed table, staring out at a distant blue blur of ocean. Bruno takes a seat in one of the two remaining chairs at the table, and joins Leone in looking out at the sea.
