Bilbo is not a pushover. He is Bilbo Baggins of Bag End, head of the Baggins-family, and son of Belladona Took and Bungo Baggins. He is proud of his family name, and a respectable Gentlehobbit! And he currently has thirteen dwarrow and a wizard in his smial... Maybe he can be a bit of a pushover at times. Also, why is The King Under the Mountain looking at him like that...?
Or
Gandalf decides to not be cryptid for once, and haves a proper conversation with Bilbo. Soon, our Hobbit finds himself on a daring adventure, and with thirteen overprotective dwarrow at his hands.
